Dr. Ena Kim enjoys growing as an artist with her profound and virtuous voice. As a concert pianist and a chamber musician, the professional mission has brought Dr. Kim to exciting venues worldwide such as Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, Gildenhorn Recital Hall, Mariam A. Friedberg Concert Hall, Hilda, and Douglas Goodwin Hall, Griswold Hall, Cohen-Davison Theater, Texas A & M University, Robert J. Werner Hall, and Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Concert Hall. Dr. Kim also has frequently invited to perform widely in the U.S.A, Korea, China, and Japan as a soloist and a chamber musician at significant music festivals, including William Kapell International Piano Festival, Arts of Piano in CCM, Asia International Piano Academy, and Festival. Her compelling success has won national and international accolades, including Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition, Asia Chopin International Piano Competition, and Korean Pianist Association Competition. She was also selected to compete at the esteemed American Prize and Kingsville International Piano Competition as one of the finalists.
Alongside her performance resume, Dr. Kim crucially devotes her energy and passion for teaching. She maintains her schedule of masterclasses, lecturer, adjudications, and festival appearances. The invitations include the University of Maryland, St. Mary's College, and as a jurist for the Southwestern Youth Music Festival at California State University Long Beach. Also, as an extensive community educator, she presented as a lecturer-pianist in the Emeritus program for the adult at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore and Chevy Chase Association in Washington, D.C, Virginia. Recently, she is selected as a recipient of Steinway Top Teacher Award from Steinway, New York.
Ena earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance as a recipient of the Chevy Chase Women's Club Scholarship and Korean Honor Scholarship from Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the United States. She holds a Master of Music degree in piano performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University and the Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance with Magna Cum Laude from Ewha Women University in Korea. She studied with Bradford Gowen, Brian Ganz, Younglim Ham, and Hyewon Chang.
As an educator, she joins as an Adjunct professor at Norco College from Spring 2020. She affiliates with College Music Society, MTAC, SYMF, MTNA, and frequently presents conferences and meetings. She has been serving as a board member at MTAC Irvine, an adjudicator for competitions and auditions.
